TESTING @ GRANGE

Taking some valuable seat time at Grange Motor Circuit just outside Victorville in California. Not the best track surface but a very technical track, perfect for testing. Luca pounded the tarmac hard – close to 200 laps. He had a blast and was spent by the end of the day.

Fun times!

I just found this series of unedited photos taken on one of our numerous test days. So I decided to post-produce them and write a Blog post. The light that day was perfect and I managed to take a couple of good shots of you on track. It brings back strong and very fond memories of days spent together like this. Fun times indeed Luca.

Tbh – I don’t remember much of that day but I do remember it being very hot. And you put together a high energy test session. I also remember we were the only ones there and you had the track to yourself. Some local kids on dirt bikes came around exploring the engine noise, watching you for a few minutes, full throttle down the straight, before mandering back to their Sunday adventures impressed by what they had seen.

I remember watching you, my 11 year old son, pushing to the very edge of yourself with your kart responding well thinking … YES! It was the first time we were on track without any support from our tent. The photo above captures perfectly your commitment to developing your racing craft, taking everything you have to give and then demanding more.

I see you. I know you want to go back out but you are really hurting. The ribs again. One final 15 minute session … and then we are done.

Thanks Dad …
