Tri-C double header this weekend – it’s going to be challenging as the temperatures are set to soar to 110 this weekend. And it was a torridly hot and difficult weekend.Grip was our biggest challenge. With track temperatures around 140, Luca was driving on velcro. Luca was quick in the morning and bested his times all through the day. However, grip and changing track conditions made it difficult to stay with the front pack, especially after starting at the back in Heat 2. A good performance brought him a 6/22 place finish with a solid drive. His fastest laps times were on par with the front-runners which was very encouraging. However, track conditions made it difficult to set the kart up for a better performance.
